Kanupriya Vazandar, Chief Information Security Officer (Senior General Manager) at DIAGEO India, has announced her resignation. A recognized expert in information security, Kanupriya’s leadership and insights have significantly shaped the company’s security landscape.
Before this appointment, she worked with JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Vazandar bids farewell in a LinkedIn post:
“My heart is full as I reflect on the last 4.5 years at Diageo. It has been nothing short of a high-octane joyride! There is so much I’ve learned from my esteemed colleagues, and I feel fortunate to have enjoyed their company! I’ve also mastered the art of unlearning things that no longer serve my purpose and correcting mistakes I was too stubborn to admit to myself. One of the most valuable lessons Diageo has taught me is that, no matter how busy we are, we should show up for each other in whatever capacity we can. Thriving teams are rarely made up of individuals who are all alike; diverse perspectives contribute significantly to a strong team. I have relished the moments spent learning to adapt to the different working styles of my peers.
I’m incredibly grateful to have worked with many iconic brands in the Diageo portfolio—Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Tanqueray, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Don Julio, and many more! Just like Johnnie Walker’s iconic striding man logo, which symbolizes forward movement and aspiration, I have witnessed my team members grow from strength to strength.
Diageo has been a launchpad for my growth and a haven of camaraderie among a talented group of co-workers. True to Diageo’s mission, ‘Celebrating life, every day, everywhere,’ I have gathered a treasure trove of unforgettable memories that I will cherish.
Goodbyes are a bittersweet reality, especially when it comes to colleagues with whom we spend so much of our waking hours. I look forward to the next chapter of my career—onwards and upwards!
