F5 and Forcepoint have announced an alliance focused on securing AI systems across their lifecycle, from data discovery and classification to runtime protection and ongoing monitoring.
The partnership comes as enterprises expand the use of AI across copilots, assistants and automated workflows, while security teams face challenges in tracking sensitive data, understanding how it moves through AI systems, and managing risks that emerge in production environments.
The combined approach links Forcepoint’s data discovery and classification capabilities with F5’s runtime protection, red teaming and AI guardrails. The aim is to help organizations identify data vulnerabilities, assess AI use cases based on risk, enforce runtime controls, and monitor systems for misuse or abnormal behaviour.
Forcepoint’s role is centered on discovering, classifying, prioritizing and governing sensitive and business-critical data across cloud, SaaS, endpoint and enterprise environments. This is intended to help organizations determine what data can be used in AI systems and which use cases require closer scrutiny.
F5’s role focuses on securing AI systems in production by enforcing policies across APIs, gateways, applications and AI agents. Its monitoring and adversarial testing capabilities are designed to detect prompt abuse, prevent data exfiltration and protect AI models and workloads from emerging threats.
The partnership is aimed at connecting data security with runtime AI protection so that organizations can apply governance and security controls across the AI lifecycle without overhauling their existing security architecture.
