Nozomi Networks and Sophos Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance OT and IT Security Integration, ETCISO
Nozomi Networks and Sophos announced a partnership to integrate Nozomi Networks Vantage with Sophos Fusion, enabling security data from operational technology (OT) environments to be incorporated into investigations across IT environments.
The integration will bring Nozomi Networks’ OT telemetry, asset intelligence and threat data into Sophos Fusion, where it can be correlated with security data from IT environments. The companies said the integration is intended to provide security teams with visibility across connected IT and OT environments.
The partnership comes as organisations increasingly connect industrial assets and adopt remote management capabilities, expanding the need to monitor activity across IT and OT environments. The companies noted that some OT outages can originate from compromises of IT environments.
“This partnership helps solve these problems by seamlessly integrating OT intelligence into IT security investigations so teams have the full picture when assessing their increasingly expanding attack surface,” said Matt Cowell, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Nozomi Networks.
The integration will support:
•Correlation of security data across OT, endpoint, network, cloud and identity sources.
•Additional context for security investigations through data correlation.
•Automation of security operations and reduction of manual processes.
•Automated data enrichment and response through Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) workflows.
“Defenders need every resource they can to combat sophisticated threat actors. This partnership helps security teams easily assess OT and IT vulnerabilities in one place, allowing them to take action much faster,” said Chris Bell, SVP of Global Channel and Alliances at Sophos.
